History of Golghar

The Golghar is situated near the Gandhi Maidan in Patna.This is a wonderful example of Bihar state, there is no pillar in its construction. Due to the Gumbdakar shape, it is compared to the tomb of Mohammad Adil Shah built in 1627-55. A voice is echoed 27-32 times inside the cellar. In 1770, Governor General Warren Hastings planned to build the Golghar, its construction was completed on 20 July 1786 in the British Raj.Many tourists know Patna due to the Golghar.One of the major tourist destinations of Patna. Its height is approximately 96 feet. After the terrible famine in Patna, 1,37,000 tons of grains were made for storage and on the basis of the golagrha there were curved stairs made of two sides on the top of the wall of 3.6 meters wide.After ride on top of stairs you can see best images of ganga river and patna city.

गोलघर  का इतिहास

गोलघर बिहार की राजधानी पटना मे गांधी मैदान के समीप स्थित है। यह बिहार राज्य का अदभुत नमुना है ,इसके निर्माण में कहीं भी स्तंभ नहीं है। गुम्बदाकार आकृति के कारण इसकी तुलना 1627-55 में बने मोहम्मद आदिल शाह के मकबरे से की जाती है। गोलघर के अंदर एक आवाज 27-32 बार प्रतिध्वनित होती है। 1770 शताप्दी में तब के गवर्नर जनरल वारेन हेस्टिंग ने गोलघर के निर्माण की योजना बनाई थी, इसका निर्माण कार्य ब्रिटिश राज में 20 जुलाई 1786 को संपन्न हुआ था। बहुत से पर्यटक पटना को गोलघर के कारण जानते हैं। पटना के प्रमुख पर्यटन स्थल में से एक है। इसकी ऊँचाई लगभग 96 फीट है। पटना में आए भयंकर अकाल के बाद 1,37,000 टन अनाज भंडारण के लिए बनाया गया था और गोलघर के आधार पर 3.6 मीटर चौड़ी दीवार के शीर्ष पर दो तरफ़ बनी घुमावदार सीढियाँ हैं। उन सीढ़ियों से ऊपर चढकर पास ही बहने वाली गंगा नदी और पटना शहर का शानदार नजारा देखने को मिलता है।
