It was initially planned to resume in May, but Prabhas sustained a knee injury in March while on vacation in Spain, further delaying production. In June 2022, a new phase of shooting commenced at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City, with Prabhas and Haasan joining the crew. They also filmed a 20-minute-long action sequence in the middle of the sea, investing about ₹10 crore in the scene.

Reports suggest that the makers of “Salaar” utilized Dark Centric Theme (DCT) technology for filming, marking it as the first Indian film to do so. This means that the film’s lighting and colors will have a darker tone.
