History of Munger
Munger is one of the most famous districts of Bihar, which is a busy city situated on the banks of the southern bank of river Ganga and It was seperated from Bhagalpur district in 1832. It is situated 180 km east from Patna, Munger is one of the important tourist spots of Bihar and it is the fifth largest city of Bihar and is considered to be one of the oldest cities of Bihar and the present day Munger is a twin It is a city, which includes Munger and Jamalpur.
Munger’s history is towards Aryans, who called Mughal for his settlement called ‘Midland’. For yoga enthusiasts, Munger is not an unknown name, in this way we can expect a large foreign crowd at this place. There are many historical remains in this place which add charm to here, the Mudgiri of Mahabharata period is named after Munger today And Munger once used to be the capital of Mir Qasimasim.
मुंगेर का इतिहास
मुंगेर बिहार के सबसे प्रसिद्ध जिलो मे से एक है,जो गंगा नदी के दक्षिणी किनारे के तट पर स्थित एक व्यस्त शहर है एवं 1832 में मुंगेर जिला को भागलपुर जिला से अलग किया गया था और पटना से करीब 180 किलोमीटर पूर्व स्थित है,मुंगेर बिहार के एक महत्वपूर्ण पर्यटन स्थल मे से एक है और यह बिहार का पांचवां सबसे बड़ा शहर है तथा बिहार के सबसे पुराने शहरों में से एक माना जाता है एवं वर्तमान दिन मुंगेर एक जुड़वां शहर है, जिसमें मुंगेर और जमालपुर शामिल हैं।
मुंगेर का इतिहास आर्यों की ओर है, जिन्होंने मुगल को ‘मिडलैंड’ नामक अपने निपटान के लिए बुलाया था। योग प्रेमियों के लिए, मुंगेर एक अज्ञात नाम नहीं है, इस प्रकार हम इस जगह पर एक बड़े विदेशी भीड़ की अपेक्षा कर सकते है इस जगह में कई ऐतिहासिक अवशेष हैं जो कि यहां आकर्षण को जोड़ते है, महाभारत काल का मोदगिरी आज मुंगेर के नाम से जाना जाता है एवं कभी मुंगेर एक बार मीर कासिम की राजधानी हुआ करती थी.
